Reviewrs asks your customers for a Google review when the job is paid.
It connects to the accounting system you already run on, so it knows when a job is finished and the invoice has been marked paid. Your customer then gets a short text asking them to review you — sent from a mobile number that belongs to your business, timed to arrive at a reasonable hour, and linking straight to Google’s own review form.
How it works
- You connect Xero once. After that Reviewrs watches for one thing and one thing only: an invoice being marked paid.
- About an hour later your customer gets a text. It names your business, and it comes from a mobile number provisioned for you that nobody else sends from.
- The link in it opens Google’s review form for your listing. There is no page of ours in between: the link goes directly to Google.
- If nothing has happened after a few days, we send one reminder. One. Then we leave them alone.
What we do not do
We do not screen anybody. Every customer who qualifies gets the same message, with the same link, to the same public review form. We never ask how the job went first, we never send some people somewhere quieter than Google, and we never offer anyone anything in exchange for writing one. Review gating is against Google’s policies, and there is nowhere in this system for it to happen — nothing of ours sits between the message and Google’s form.
We also do not monitor what gets written about you, we do not read your reviews back into anything, and we do not draft replies on your behalf. Some of that may come later. None of it exists today, and this page is not going to imply that it does.
What your customer sees
One text, from a number that is yours alone, naming your business, with a link and the words “Reply STOP to opt out”. If they reply with anything at all, it is forwarded to your mobile, so a question about the job reaches you instead of sitting unread. If they reply STOP, that is recorded against their phone number permanently and they never hear from us again — not through you, and not if they reappear in Xero next year under a new contact record.
Nothing goes out before 8am or after 7pm in your own time zone, and the same customer is never asked twice within three months.
A summary once a week
Once a week you get one email: how many jobs came through, how many messages went out, how many people opened the link, and how many customers we could not reach at all. The last figure is the one worth reading. It is almost always a missing mobile number in Xero, and it is usually ten minutes of work to fix.
Who it is for
Small service businesses in Australia and New Zealand: plumbers, sparkies, cleaners, landscapers, mobile mechanics — anyone who finishes a job, invoices it through Xero, and would like the people who were pleased with the work to say so somewhere it counts.
If you got a text from us
You are in the right place. Reviewrs sends review requests on behalf of a business you have just dealt with, and that business is named in the message you received. We were given your mobile number by them, from their own records; we did not find it anywhere else, and we do not sell it or pass it on.
To stop, reply STOP to the message. It takes effect straight away and it is permanent. If you would rather ask us directly what is held about you, or have it deleted, email [email protected]. The privacy policy sets all of it out in full.
Getting in touch
Reviewrs is new, and I am taking on the first businesses now. If you run a small service business in Australia or New Zealand and this sounds useful, email [email protected] and I will answer you myself. That address handles support as well; anything about privacy goes to [email protected].
